Windows vista is a type of operating system launched in January 2007 by Microsoft. It was designed to work with both the home user and business professional. It was highly compatible with other software products while also providing new features that were not yet available on Windows XP or Windows 2000. Window Vista is not just a new version of the operating system. It revolutionized the way computers are utilized. Many features were incorporated into the operating system, and it would be impossible to include them all in this article.
The first step towards the Virtual installation is to get an ISO image of this old operating system. As I mentioned above that it is free and avail by Microsoft itself officially along with License key. Thus, use this link which will open the page of Archive.org, where click on the ISO image link given on the right side under the Download section, this will allow you to download Windows XP Professional SP3 x86 ISO image. Just on the same page, the free but official professional key for the same will have been given. Copy that and jot down somewhere like NotePad.
Select updates.boot-land.net and vistape.winbuilder.net in the bottom-right section (as shown above). For the first build you create, it's recommended that you leave Recommended selected in the drop down list and leave all other items as they are by default. Select the Download button to start downloading VistaPE. The screenshot below shows the download in progress:
Freeware programs can be downloaded used free of charge and without any time limitations. Freeware products can be used free of charge for both personal and professional (commercial use).
Since linux uses a different kind of format then windows the only way to install windows over it is to purposefuly delete the linux partition when installing so you should be good just to install 10 over vista.
If this appeals to you, you'll need a decent Internet connection, since the 64-bit version is a rather large 3.3GB download, although the 32-bit version does drop to 2.5GB. Just point your browsers at -GB/windows-8/consumer-preview and then burn the ISO file onto a CD-R, before installing it like a normal Windows CD-ROM.
